Here is a not often seen style from Barry, and it is awesome! This lockback folder measures 7 1/2" open, 4 1/4" closed, and has a 3 1/8" fighter style blade. The blade and carved bolster damascus is of course Barry's own, and they contrast beautifully. The premium brown lip mother of pearl scales are colorful, lightly carved, held in place by solid gold pins, and contain a solid gold toothpick on the reverse side. The stainless steel liners are fully fileworked, and the raised stainless steel backspacer is rope fileworked on the outside, and scalloped on the inside. Also inside is a solid gold bladestop. The bail is carved 18K gold, and the contoured thumb stud contains a sapphire set in gold. Barry is known for making rock solid folders in the tradition of his mentor, Jim Schmidt, and this is no exception. Flawless fit and finish, and a great addition to any collection.
