This lockback folder from Barry measures 6 5/8" open, 3 3/4" closed, and has a 2 3/4" blade. The damascus used for the blade and double bolsters was forged by Barry, and the patterns contrast nicely. The liners are solid 18K gold, and are fileworked around the Tortoise inlay. The inlays are bordered by gold bars, and the bolsters have Barry's signature carving on them. The raised stainless steel backspacer is rope fileworked on the oustside, scalloped on the inside, and highly polished. There is a gold blade stop inside as well. All pins are gold, as is the bail. The contoured damascus thumb stud contains a sapphire inlaid in gold. Barry's knives are very collectable and hard to find. This one is flawless in every way, and has the rock solid build and feel that he is famous for.
