Ernest (Ernie) Emerson is a full time maker who sold his first knife in 1983. He specializes in high tech folders and combat fighters. His linerlock combat folders and SPECWAR combat knives are very well known and highly sought after. He favors 154CM and damascus steels, and uses titanium for fittings, liners, and locks. He is a specialist in chisel grinds. Ernie has designed knives for factory collaborations with Gerber and other manufacturers.
