This nice little asymmetrical folding lockback dagger from Henry measures 5 3/8" open, 3 1/8" closed, and has a 2 1/4" highly engraved and French grayed blade. The bolsters and liners are solid gold and the bolsters are intricately carved. The scales are Mammoth ivory, an unusual material for Henry to use on a knife. The backspacer is fully engraved and French Grayed, and contains several small gold inlays, as does the ridge and top of the blade spine. Each scale contains a gold escutcheon, the reverse side one is fully engraved. There is a gold engraved toothpick on the show side of the knife. Beautiful fit and finish from a maker who is making very few knives these days.
