This is a classic "Folded Steel" linerlock folder from Jim and Joyce. This knife is 7 3/8" open, 4 1/4" closed, and has a 3 1/8" blade. The blade and double bolsters are carved in Joyce's original folded fabric pattern, highlighted with both a polished and a matte black finish, and inlayed with 18K gold engraving, all done by the artist herself. Jim's magnificent craftsmanship on the 24K gold wire wrapped and fluted mother of pearl scales, which are separated from the bolsters by 24K carved gold bars, brings this knife together as a special one of a kind piece. The stainless liners are fully fileworked and heat colored, and the backspacer is rope fileworked and blacked to match the rest of the knife. The blacked thumb stud contains a nice 10 point diamond. This knife deserved a full two pages, # 194 and 195, in David Darom's well known first book of folders featuring some of the finest makers working today. There won't be another, grab this one while you can.
