Bill Moran is best remembered as the "Master of the Forge" An absolute legend by any standard, he was the first man to forge a damascus blade for a fixed blade knife back in 1973. This had not been done for hundreds of years before that. He was an innovator, and with his recent passing at age eighty, the world has lost one of the true legends of the art. He leaves behind a rich legacy, and a body of work that is being increasingly snapped up by collectors the world over.
