W D (Bill) Pease is a full time knife maker who sold his first knife in 1970. He specializes in display quality working folders, and does make some fixed blade knives. He uses various patterns like fighters, boots, and tantos, and makes folders in both bolstered and interframe designs. He generally uses ATS-34 or commercial damascus from many of the top forgers working today. He uses mostly natural materials for his handles like stag, mother of pearl, various woods, stone, fossil ivory, and many others, and does use some man made materials on occasion. Bill developed his own side release locking mechanism that is featured on many of his folders. He attends many of the trade shows and is a voting member of the Knifemakers Guild.
