A unique one of a kind proto that was going to see production overseas. That never materialized, so the knife came back to Butch and then to me. The blade is a modified tanto, and is 3 5/8” long. The OAL is 8 3/8”. The scales and backspacer are black micarta, and the scales have rubber inserts. The knife is a DA auto, with the release on the clip like the early Chameleons. Very smooth and tight action. The top mounted thumb disc is fileworked as well as a short potion of the blade top. “Butch Vallotton Custom Knives” is on one side of the knife, and “Prototype D C” is on the other.The knife has had some handling, and does show a few scuffs here and there, but is rock solid and functions perfectly.
