Thomas Vallotton is a full time maker who has been making knives since 1996. He works alongside of Butch and Rainy Vallotton in Butch’s shop, so he has learned from two incredibly talented and well known knife makers.
Thomas generally makes between 150 and 200 knives a year. He likes designing in auto cad, and has applied that knowledge to come up with some unique designs and mechanisms. Many of his knives are of a tactical design using such materials
as micarta, carbon fiber, and G10 for the handles and damascus and stainless steel for the blades and bolsters. He also makes fancy custom knives utilizing many natural materials such as wood, Mammoth ivory, and various fossil bones, but
favors mother of pearl handles for their longevity. Thomas is definitely making a name for himself in the knife world.
