Ricardo Velarde has been making and selling knives since 1992. His early mentors were none other than knifemaking legends Steve Johnson and Dietmar Kressler, and he learned his craft very well. His investment grade integrals and interframes are among the best being made today. His patterns include boot knives, fighters, daggers, and hunters, and he uses BG-42 stainless steel almost exclusively. His handle and interframe inlays cover a wide variety of mostly natural materials such as various woods, mother of pearl, Stag, fossil Ivories, and many others. With Ricardo's attention to detail and his flawless fit and finish, his knives are showing up in all of the finest collections.
