If you want to be a top notch knife maker, it helps to have your father-in-law as your mentor, especially when he happens to be Bill McHenry. Jason Williams learned well, and has turned into a world class maker of fancy folders, automatics, and fancy art knives. He is the co-inventor of the axis lock along with Bill. Jason forges his own damascus, and uses a lot of exotic handle materials and precious metals. His knives are of his own design, and generally feature some very unique carving and inlays. While some of his knives definitely show the influence of his teacher, many stand out as totally unique and are very sought after.
